So far… my Parker Jotter fountain pen is my favorite, but my Kaweco Sport is my EDC. The Tornado P-46 is AWESOME!!! I absolutely love it. I have the Corsair and Spirit of St Louis on the way.

I have to e tactile turn just like yours… very cool pen. I am beginning the fountain pen journey… started with a safari and may play around with different nibs.

From the outside look no one would steal it . Even when you open it 😐 .....it lacks the appearance and the elegance of a fountain pen . Sorry it looks like those rollerball pen of $0.5 from a flee market.

THey only made 150 of these! I agree with you- the nib is STELLAR. and I think it's the black- I have some of the palladium or chrome nibs and they aren't nearly as smooth as the black one! I have also tried a black nib on a friends Momento zero and it was so so so good. ENJOY IT!

Thank you for the review, it is a beautiful pen. In case you missed the chat, the serial number is opposite to the clip on the cap above the 3 metal bands. Use a magnifier with light, you will see it.

This reminds me of the old South Park episode where everyone has to vote between a Giant Douche and Turd Sandwich. There are no winners here. TWSBI's look cool but break when you look at them funny, and Lamy is the equivalent of attaching an ink sac to an old rusty nail.

The Lamy is the best of this lot, but these are far from the best. Why are you pushing such bad pens?

I think the Twsbi has better nibs than Lamy. Good writers, the Lamy is a good writer also and if you do not like ink on your hands the Lamy wins. My wife pairs all of her Twsbi's with matching inks.

The competition makes everyone better and we have Doug Ritter of Knife Rights to thank for getting autos legal in more places that has prompted companies to get in the game!

Twsbi eco is better as is a piston filled, nib is more solid, the whole pen is built like a tank. Lamy Safari is lame, cartridge/converter, cheap nib, stupid modern "tripod" grip. I practice traditional penmanship and we don't use this modern tripod grip. I'd pick eco any day.

That "sweet spot" myth needs to die. All fountain pens have a sweet spot.

Do you keep a pen in your car? Seems the heat would be a factor: we're hot here in NC also.

I have one of each and love them both. But the TWSBI wins the looks competition, but the Lamy is easier to use and more functional to use. Sort of like utilitarian vs utiletieriene', Depends on my bougie factor for the day.

Same here. I thought I would hate it. I held one at Anderson Pens in Chicago and didn't like it at all. I bought a Pilot Custom 823 instead, which is a wonderful pen. But now I have the Lamy 200 Stainless Steel Fine and it's wonderful. I ink it with Earl Grey by Diamine, a perfect match. I love writing with it posted, which is unsual for me. It's heavy but it has a fulcrum and it just flows, so perfect.

Mine arrived today! I got the matching ink. Very pleased. 🎉❤

Received my last week and really enjoying it. Took about two days for my silicone gasket to break in for smooth retraction.

I am so grateful for this video. I got a Lamy 2000 as a gift from my husband. He unfortunately got me a medium and my writing is too small so it looks like I am writing with a wet sharpie...that's not the real problem: its the skipping the fluctuations in line width and then the hard starts. I am very disappointed in the way the seller is handling this because while the line width is not a surprise, the skipping, line width variation and hard starts that confirm there is a problem. Yes I have a. emptied cleaned and refilled the pen after letting it dry; b: I have tried gently spreading the tines - its how I got past one of the hard starts - even after all of the above, I am having hard starts, fluctionations in line width - from (guesstimate) 0.7+mm to hairline and skipping of course as I write. Thoughts? Advice?

I have faith that Medford makes great knives - which is why I have a bunch but I’m still kinda reeling from the discontinuation of my two favorite models. The competition - Merc-1, the Kershaw Livewire and Axial are forcing the Microtech’s of the world to step up - more OTF’s is better for all of us!

When I started collecting Medford I loved the midi marauder and they ceased production, then I bought a $1,300 Praetorian Ti and they discontinued that. Now that the Merc is having lots of issues, given Greg’s propensity to make brash decisions, would t surprise me if he stops production. Get the new Microtech Ultratech when it comes out and you will have a better clip, a more stable company, the absolute best blade locking, fluid and easy deployment and Zero Blade Play - no brainer at half the cost of the flawed Merc.

Microtech especially with their upgrades are the only way to go. The Medford locks engage too small an area and can easily fail under harder use. Axial are quite good but the blade s are clumsy (the sharpening choil on mine is thick and the warncliffe blade is actually recurving near the choil. Microtech by comparison has blade grinding and sharpening at an art level. This MTK has serious issues as I said,the locking tab doesn’t engage the whole blade. Microtech is about to release the Ultratech with dual fuel easy deployment, milled titanium clip and zero blade play for about $350 base - no one compares.

I absolutely dont need it🤷‍♂️
